What do you guys think?
Im contemplating doing some vinyl wrapping on the car.
Definately doing the roof, then if that goes well the bonnet and bootlid.
Now the question is.........Do i go for the 3M carbon vinyl or Matt black?
For those that dont know here is the car in question
Just looking for something a little different for the show season

I would stear clear of carbon look mate, it always looks a little fake and cheap when i have seen it. Its like those knock off watches in Turkey. They look ok when you buy them and a fraction of the real cost, but they always look a bit crappy Just my opinion though.
I think matt looks ok but it has been done a few times now. Have you considered something different?
time we had pictures of everyones jap wagons
Scroll down to the GTR in this thread, its been done in vinyl, looks awesome!!
You can get some bonkers colours and tones with vinyl!

The carbon looks ok if it then has a coat of clear sprayed on top, other i think it looks a bit wishy washy.
I've considered this myself, But there are other things on the list before even looking into this further

The boot of this has been done in the carbon wrap..
https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...-low-wide.html
I like the look of it but not sure about to much of it, interesting to see how it weathers with age still though.
The smooth black looks quite good but you really need to get the car machine cleaned then have it applied or any lumps and bumps show up a lot.
Here's another good one....

I would personally leave it as is, the carbon fibre wrap will be lost on the roof and as the car is black it would not be that noticeable.
Also if the wrap is not done properly it can look naff and totally spoil the look of the car.

I have seen a classic with forest camo, cant remember if it was vinyl or paint though. That one looked naff though!

I was in the right place at the right time... or the wrong place at the wrong time this morning depending on how you look at it and ended up assisting the wrap this 3m carbon stuff onto a roof of an Evo 4
I have the say it's mighty fine stuff and well worth the effort and cost... it's damn good quality and very interesting to work with. Calvin it would look stunning on a black car because of the different shades of colour that the carbon wrap gives off, the Evo was silver and it looked stunning.
Here's a few pics that james took of us fitting it.
