Right, after being picked on so much about these rear lights, I decided to look into getting a set of these. So when Ryan ( Mr D ) had a tinted set for sale, I emailed him and to ask how hard the tint was to take off and he offered to do it for me
. We arranged to meet on sunday but on thursday , I asked if I could meet him to pick them up and he said they weren't ready but I thought to myself "how hard can it be to just buff them up"
How wrong was I![Brickwall](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/brickwall.gif)
Ryan fair play to him hard worked really hard to get the tint off but they just needed a good buffing to bring the shine back. After 2 days of sanding and buffing, my arms are killing me! (wish I'd left them with him until they were finshed now ![Lol1](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/lol1.gif)

)
Well anyway, I've given up and if anyone saying anything bad about them, I'll be really upset because I couldn't have worked any harder on them.
This evening I fitted them, Hope you all like them!

non acetone nail varnish remover gets the tint off a treat, experimenting years ago with my escort rear lights, came accross this stuff in my sister bed room. worked a peach.
also after buffing and etc, key the lights and lacquer them. gives a stunning smooth finish, and gets rid of all the small scratches

Claire, I wouldn't use Sikaflex as you need to use a sealant that will have a certain amount of elasticity, I have some very good black sealant that I purloined from work which you are welcome to have.

Didn't see your post there Ty
, you can get flexible versions of sikaflex. If you have some acquired from work all the better!
