Some Pics Of The North Wales Run
Some pics of the run that myself, Ian and Chris (along with Mark riding shotgun) did on Saturday.
Unfortunately the weather was abysmal until we parked up in Llanberis, it poured down virtually from the off in Merthyr.
I did think about stopping up in the Elan Valley but the mist and rain was so bad I could not have got any decent shots so what's below is about it I'm afraid.
Some pics of the drive out of Llanberis, some very nice scenery up there but the road conditions left quite a lot to be desired.
After coming back down the west coast I decided to take a break and see if I could get some decent shots against the setting sun, not sure what to think of them really.
I know the car is filthy dirty but having just covered around 400 miles I didn't have time to clean it.

Yes they are great roads but to be honest they could do with some new tarmac, some of the roads were in a poor state with potholes, cuts and rough surfacing.
Because there were loads of flying insects around and I didn't fancy having to get them out of the car, by that time I was cream crackered and just wanted a break.
I had the roof vent closed until we left Llanberis due to the amount of rain we had, the great British summer.
Thanks for the comments about the pics and cars though.

Cheers Ozz, the rain is places was torrential and driving through the Elan Valley to Aberystwyth was no fun in places.
Sorry about that but we didn't get to Llanberis until after 4pm , so all our plans to go across the top of North Wales had to be abandoned, we'll have to make it a 2 day run in future.
