Default Sorry.........but i've made the walk of shame.......AND LOVE IT!!!!

Well guys, after many years of owning subaru's i suppose it was inevitable that one day it would happen. I have hung the subaru keys up, walked the walk of shame, reached out my hand and grabbed a set of keys that has the words every subaru owner is disgusted by.... "Mistubishi".

Yes, i'm now the proud owner of a rather nifty Evo 9 FQ340 with some nice mods to round it up to 400bhp. I've gotta say that i love the evo and (flame suit on) i must say the evo feels a far more capable car. although my love for subaru's will always be, i think the evo will be staying for a while.

I bought the car off a MLR member called EVO D, And all i can say is hats off to Dean, this is one well looked after Evo, the condition of this car is amazing. Dean would never take this car out in the rain and wanted for nothing. the car has only covered 23k and as you'd imagine is immaculate. Big thanx to Dean :smthumbup

The pics i've posted doesn't do the car justice, gonna try and get some better pics in the week and post up on the forum. here's a quick spec, not everything but what i can remember

i think its one of those cars that you like or dont when driven, i tried a 400bhp one at the same time as my Newage and you can see what i prefered... Got to say it didnt look anything as nice as that one tho

No shame needed mate, that is a sweet motor. Make sure you stay on here so you can get the p1ss ripped out of you periodically!

Nice car you've acquired, when I sold my S202 I was seriously considering going for an Evo 8/9 but went for a Blobeye Spec C in the end.

The only thing I would say having driven an Evo FQ360 is that they don't seem to be as involving as an Impreza but that might just be me.

I really do love the Evo 9, hats off to you oldboy for finding such a beauty, very nice!!

I test drove the FQ MR 360 a few years ago and i really did love it, but it was pushing out of my budget at the time so it didnt happen, real bargain they are now though....................hhhmmmm maybe

Your kinda right, i feel alot more confident in the Evo as the handling feels so secure compared to the scooby. you just seem to point the car where you wanna go and it does it no questions asked, lol

Cracking car fair play, looks a minter. Despite what some people say it is possible to like both brands.

Must of been a bargain, i mean why else would you buy an evo!!!

Being serious for a minute thats a cracking 1X, i love evo's from the 5 to the 9 and did put a deposit on an evo 6gsr before i got the scoob but then bottled it last second at the thoght of spending £17k on a 7yr old car, up until that point i'd only ever considered an evo and the hunt for one developed into abit of an un-healthy obsesion, did'nt consider a scoob as i thoght they were good cars but just to comon, ended up with the scoob as an impulse buy when we were looking for a new focus for the wife, love the scoob now but i wont rule out a trip to the darkside myself oneday soon.

Very nice car!

You say it feels more capable, I find the EVO has always been more "focused". From the driving postion, to the seriously hard dampers, and the high standard output. It's a great drive, and less compromised than a Scooby. FACTS!

Of course, the compromise is what I really LOVE about a Scooby...it feels more relaxed, even when you're caning it :-)

Still, both cars are well cool !

Good choice, I too took the same walk and not looked back.
My FQ320 is pushing out the better part of 400 too.
Like you I also like scooby's, "but" my Evo has proved to be a better car so far for me.
Also being able to map it myself has made ownership far more enjoyable.

ENJOY,

Daz
