Looks like my Ra is going to be writen off. This is following the damage caused to it after living in Swansea. The property I was living in had a water leak that was dripping on my car. The water was full of limescale and has wrecked my paint.
The public liability insurance company are refusing to work with anyone bar my car insurance. And they will write the car off.
I have considered a solicitor or the Ferret. But am I wasting my time.
Please can someone help me. Don't won't to loose the Ra.

Insurance Buy Back Option is normally set at perceived salvage value, which for such an old car wont be much, plus a cheque to cover the difference in your pocket.
Not ideal, but worth bearing in mind for a worst case scenario?

it's too bad to repair by polish. The spoiler is compleatly knackered.
unfortunatly Merv it's ever panel. And both windscreens.
that's what I'm considering now. Really had a guts full. Between the managment company and the public liability insurance company, it enought to bring you to tears of anger.

Yeah Dylan I bought back my Renault 5 from the insurers many years ago, as said you pay the salvage price and you get any left over money (if any). Sorry to hear about the situation as I thought you were about to get it sorted.....you could then renovate her at your leisure ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
A Mate of mine in work - his wife is an investigative journalist on the Ferret !! I will nag him to nag her !!!!!! (hope she's still with them

Dylan, perhaps the buy back route might be best if it doesn't effect your NCD.
You could then do most of the prep work as we talked about before and you could end up with some money left over after the paint job.
I know that the car would be a cat C or D but as you are keeping the car anyway it might not be too bad, ok the value of the car would be effected but as you will keep for ever it wouldn't really be an issue.![Ponder2](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/ponder2.gif)
OR go down the Ferret route and shame them into doing the right thing.
