Angry Not true!!!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-s...wales-11329916

Only half a story from the fecking media again!

True the area had been cleared but.............

What they failed to mention was that the device that killed Dane was not made of metal and would not have been found by the equipment the patrol had anyway!

Do they not read or listen to their own reports about IED's in Afghanistan, are they unaware of what's going on? And no mention of the 3 other soldiers who where injured?

This is a classic example of how to cause more stress for the family, as if they hadn't gone through enough.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

Unfortunately Ian all Journalists never let the facts/truth get in the way of a headline/story.

Like you have said the poor family have had to relive the terrible events again and the BBC ignoring or not fully reporting the full series of events does not help anyone except for the journalist involved.

No wonder that the public trust journalists less than estate agents.

BBC - say no more.

Shamlessly biased news reporting.

I never watch the BBC news anymore. On the odd occasion I put it on its to see how blatantly biased and infantile they still can be.

They treat the public like idiots.

I dont really see the relevance in it. The aim of the story is report the outcome of the coroners inquest.

Well having heard it reported on BBC Radio Wales today they stated that the area had been checked and cleared of mines, they did not state that the soldier was killed by a IED which could not be detected by the 'normal' means.

The BBC only reported certain facts and ignored others.

I understand what your saying but there where soldiers who gave evidence who had cleared the area with the equipment supplied. They had done a fantastic thankless job, been under pressure, found other IED's and where clear in their conscience that they had done their job, only for the media to intimate that the area, by inference had missed something and a fellow soldier friend had then lost his life.
