Well, what a weekend. Spent Thursday getting p*** wet putting sign frames together. Then thanked Chris and Mark for letting me and VC do the easy stuff with the film crews.

Then spent the next three days avaeraging 4 hours kip, thanks guys.

But F**k me what a great time. If you saw a WRC TV Landrover Freelander TD4 with signs on the roof it may well have been me or VC.

Sweet Lamb on morning of Day 1 and Loeb ****ed up my puddle cam on the first water splash, I was on Dave though. Hafren in the afternoon in the really ****e rain.

Day 2 and Crychan hairpin just after the jump and sharp right. Then in the after noon down in the forest section. Knowing the lay of the land I managed to get us off the area and miss the traffic jam down the hill from Dixies to Lywel. Got brownie points for that one.

Day 3 Resolven about 2k's into stage sharp left. Then down to the 17k point, again a sharp right.

Epic!

To finish off me and the camera man where at the finish. In the thick of it. Petter Solberg really is a nice bloke.

Must admit I have really fallen for the S2000 cars and the Nationals who came through the stages later, bags of hanging out and off's. Shame about the Mk2 Escort losing his rear axle and one wheel.

I am now the proud owner of a full set of stage maps and Media Guide. They also commented I was not a numpty like the previous years helpers

we was so lucky with the weather on sat, after how wet and wild it was on thursday and friday, we couldnt beleve how bright and clear it was on saturday.

Had a cracking day Saturday, was mean to go to Margam
Today but felt like crap this morning! Agree about the S2000 cars, they looked quicker than some of the bigger cars that V8 Jeep sounded nuts

Well done mate. Dedication is what you need. I did see some completely (nutters) committed fans who where sleeping out in cars and we woke them up when we arrived at the stage.

Ken Block is a nice bloke. Spoke to young Mr Cave after his engine gave up near the quarry as we drove through Crychan, he was gutted.

Cheers mate

We walked from the entrance of Rheola to the stage which took 35mins!! and the amount of people sleeping in cars and tents was crazy.. It was great to see so many fans though keeping the sport alive! I will never forget a load of guys who slept in a van who had a micro wave hooked up to a geny
