Would it not be best to go 3rd party fire and theft when SORN rather than have no insurance at all ?

Or thinking of it there must be an option for a SORN based policy so there is some sort of cover on the car.

Thanks for the pointers Guy's - intially I thought that there was not much difference in price for TPFT and Fully Comp insurance these day's - but I'll ring my insurers to find out if they do a basic SORN cover - Fire and theft should be OK as third party wouldnt be applicable would it ?

Policies only 3 months old !! Do they sting you in all circumstances of cancellation, I.E Sold car on or Scrapped/Damaged etc ?

Just been on to the dipstick insurance company and they won't do a specific SORN policy with fire and theft which is basically what I was hoping for - just in case. They won't cover it for TPFT and have instead offered me TP only !!! WTF - unless the car falls over and hits someone then there will be no possibility of a TP claim anyway. They wanted 300 to cancel at this point in the policy too

Muppets !! So at the mo I'm paying for TP only !! just to reduce the monthly payment - until I can afford to cancel in full !! Pretty damn useless eh !
