hi mate i bought a D reg escort rs turbo in red, it has only covered 42000 miles from new and has original paint which is rot free and years ago was treated with hot wax underneath and in engine bay and even has all check point stickers in boot and still on the original tyres from the factory and interior looks like it has never been sat on ,
only mods it has are pace intercooler, different actuator , rs 4 spoke steering wheel and a super chip plus stainless exhaust and RR print out says it is 185 bhp
an rs in this condition are very sort after and are rising in price and have seen them from 5500 to one that sold with 54 thou on the clock for almost 8000 last week on ebay and pistonheads
i was very luck to get this from my mate who has a few rs cars , one condition he would sell it to me is if i ever sell it he wants it back as long as its in the condition and standard it is now, plus i think he was fed up of me asking him to sell it to me
its nice to drive and puts a smile on my face and to think that something that old still goes and looks as good as any other car on the road to day
plus my insurance is around £200 mark so bonus from what i was paying for the scoob for it to sit in the garage doing nothing half the time
after working where i am now i have a different veiw on the classic cars now and see just how good they really are
possible mk2 escort rs 2000 or mk one mexico next car after a few years with this one
