Default Some Upcoming Changes...

As some may be aware I have decided to carry out some changes to my Spec C, as I've been busy at work I've not been on here much recently but here is what is happening:

The WRC S9 replica bumper is coming off and a standard bumper is being fitted along with STi winglets and fog lamp covers, plus a V Limited / S203 front splitter. This also means fitting a standard STi upper grille as the S9 bumper incorporates the upper grille.

I'm fitting Muteki SR48 Burnt Titanium wheel nuts, I really like this after being let down recently on a set of Rays Duranuts - these Muteki nuts are the dogs dangles.

So if anyone is interested the WRC replica bumper will be up for sale shortly plus a WRX front splitter which I bought as I was going down the WRX bumper route before changing my mind and going for the STi look.

Well done Ty - I'm sure the car will look great when you've finished, Old Charles Darwin wouldn't be able to keep up with your "Evolutionary" journey

No evolution here well not yet anyway more like boredom and browsing eBay at work.

I think I'll ask them to block eBay/non work related sites at the server portal as it will save me a fortune.

All he needs to do is de-spoiler it and spray the wheels white and it'll look spot on...

There is no f***ing way on Gods Earth will I ever have white wheels ever again, I know plenty of people like them but they are a pain in the @rse to keep clean.

I like the spoiler but I could always buy a standard boot lid...

I suppose I could put some badges on it, and then pretend it's something it's not.

They are coming from the USA as I couldn't find a UK supplier with that colour in stock (limited edition colour apparently), they are anodised and have a special socket so they shouldn't scratch.

Do you want the eBay link Ryan?

I like the bronze colour of those wheels, just like Jarvis's wheels (although he was told they are gunmetal).

Thats nuts Would look nice on white to really show them off though or just ordinary silver. But then again the colour will look completely different in reallity so may work.

It's the badges that give my "WRX" the edge over highly tuned spec C's, so for that reason they'll be staying

Perhaps next time we will have a more balanced comparison rather than me being in 6th gear and you in 4th, I don't think you will fair so well then.

As explained with over 400lbs.ft torque at 3000rpm my car accelerates as well in 5th but my clutch wouldn't cope, using 4th meant I had to squeeze a gear change in, I remain confident, but please don't feel threatened by a "WRX" with a shagged clutch, even if I was faster

Hmm, faster well as the 6th gear on my car is an overdrive gear and therefore does not have the same acceleration as being in 5th which would have been a 'fairer' comparison.

However your car does go well for a lowly WRX there is no denying that, I mean bolt a large turbo on anything and it will go quicker...

Hook, line and sinker.

No, he knows mine is better than his , some say we are like Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee:

But I like to think we are more like the below; one has serious issues (Jarvis aka Marcus Burnett) and the other (me aka Mike Lowrey) is suave, has a better car and the looks.
