So I took the car for an mot today, after having a new engine built,it failed on the emission's and been told its a common thing what with the size on the exhaust, and the fact that the new engine, has only done 10 miles,so he advised to take it for a run and drop it back tomorrow,it passed on everything else, apart from i had an advisory on front pads, and rear drop links....
Yeah sorry Shaun, just edited it the post as I realised I missed the whole point of the post,I can't help it,im excited drove her for the first time in 3.5 years today,I haven't stopped smiling, lol.
Make sure those cats are nice and hot, difficult to do with a new engine in the car. Had problems with mine a few years back as the MOT station is only 5 mins down the road. Since then I take the car for a 30 min spin to get the engine warm enough, that I can put my foot down and warm the cats up.
im having a big issue atm apparently new law meaning you need a visible cat in the system. so on the look out for a cat for the system annoying as i need to sell the car

Exactly can't do that when running the engine in,and you have to stick to 3,000 rpm.
Well mine passes by itself with no special tests, you lot will give Impreza owners a bad name.
Jarvis told me it`s cos you hardly drive it, and its serviced so often nothing gets dirty inside the engine?? And when you do its like you`ve Miss Daisy in the back.

But I don`t think that lol
I also did some miles in her and miss daisy couldn't be further away from the truth
