Yes, after chatting with Merv at Prodrive on Sunday i've arranged with Simon to come down on Thursday 25th and to use ACE Motorsport in Newbridge as a base for the mapping session. Apart from the AXXX Newbridge-Blackwood bypass being a near perfect road for mapping cars on (we've used it a few times in the past with Andy Forrest & Bob Rawle etc. and they love the combination of long uphill/downhill sections and the long straights ) , it will also be useful to have a fully equipped specialist workshop at hand should anyone need bits doing/checking before or during mapping.

For those who don't know of ACE Motorsport, Andy the owner is a former M-sport and Prodrive world rally team engineer, so they know a thing or two about preparing Scooby's

If anyone needs anything sorting, feel free to drop me a PM and i'll organise or you can contact ACE direct on 01495 241915.

I also have a spare Simtek/Alcatek ecu for 99-00 Impreza which is due back from upgrade to latest spec (closed-loop idle, knock control etc.) in the next week. It has Anti-lag + Launch activated and will come complete with charge temperature sensor, anti-lag switch and 1 year warranty from Alcatek . If anyone is interested this could be supplied/fitted/mapped as a package on the 25th for a big saving over retail price

Let's get some numbers up, the more we get the bigger the discount for everyone.....

Steve

I agree 'tis a little bit short notice, but weather conditions tend to go downhill quite rapidly from end of October, which can make it difficult for mapping highish powered cars on the road. So this would be the last sensible chance to get a remap done before the dreaded winter comes

I'm getting mine done so it's one less thing to worry about when the spring comes and i get the car out ready for next season

Speak with Simon (JGM) as your car does not have an OBD port.

Yes, was just thinking that
It would certainly make for an interesting road-trip though

Are those prices you put up all inclusive of VAT Merv?

I would be merv (as per previous thread) if I could have had my Al/LC activated on my simtek for a couple of hundred, but since it's going to be closer to the 500 mark it's money I can't be doing with spending on the car ATM, as mother tells me when I see her "" you've got to start prioritising boy", 26 years later I'm starting to see where she's coming from!!!
Have fun and hope everyone get the results they're looking for .

Have you spoken to Simon Rob? I'm sure he can just do the AL/LC for about £150 if that's all you wanted

unfrotunatly not..

ecu was installed by antoher dealer.. so I have to order software to map it from alcatek, my dealer software wont let me map it.. the new software will only then allow me to load a map, not tweak the current other dealers map which is fine and as it should be, but means I have to map the car from scratch not just type in the als code and set the als up

Thanks to Simon for mapping the R today, runs a lot smoother now with the VF43 on and hopefully when I get the Newage intercooler to fit and the injectors sorted along with MAF it'll be running even better!! And added pops and bangs

No problem.

Btw if you turn the air con on the pops and bangs go off, should you need to be quieter.
There is a stage louder on p&b too but it sounded so good as is

Yes, sounded sweet as when it came back from the map Merv

Mine's going like f**k now..... especially on cal 8 I think it made everyone's day when we pulled mine into the garage to tweak anti-lag & set up launch control, flames were a-flyin' lol !

Big thanks to Simon, excellent job and a pleasure to work with
