I have a problem with my classic turbo 2000. When driving there is a loud squeak coming from my drivers side rear wheel like the noise when your pads are low but louder I can even hear it over the burble of the Scooby. However after I took the car out today the squeak was there but it also felt like the car was holding back so I pulled over and my rear drivers side alloy was boiling hot any ideas what could be up please people as I tought it may be pads but now thus with my alloy its baffled me!!

Seized caliper probably, brakes binding causing the heat to transfer from the disc to the wheel. Does it freewheel easily? Any resistance when driving? Any funny smell?

I'd say definitely binding brakes then. Jack the back end up, with both rear wheels off the floor and the hand brake off compare each side by turning the wheels by hand to feel any resistance.
If you say the driver side was getting hot then you should feel it harder to turn than the passenger side.
Could be time to refurb the caliper, or maybe even the handbrake shoes are stuck inside the disc itself.
Only real way to find out is to strip it down.
