Might pop up and have a look, few local boys entering again, the ground should be sticky enough with all this dry weather.

On a sidenote, would you mind kindly responding to one of the couple of pms ive recently sent you regarding one of my siezed calipers you refurbed for me a couple of years ago.

Regards, rob

Charming, tell you what, i wont bother. If you cant be arsed to spend a few minutes of your time to reply to a pm then why should i be arsed to ring you on monday. Couple of simple questions, thats all.
Your online on here enough posting, other traders on here have been very descent and replied to various questions and orders ive made.

Strange way of doing buisness, and i know all about customer service, having been running my own buisness too for over 7 years.

Dont worry i wont bother you again.

Wrong time of the month ?

The reason I said ring me Monday was It was 2 mins last night on here to inform the local guys of the rally on Sunday , it was nearly 11.30pm and I have been up since 5am , I'm on my way out the door now to spend all day up on Epynt doing the recce and having my rally car scrutineered and then signing on the rally ect , then head back to bridgend to load the van ect so won't be home till late tonight , then I'm back up at 5am tomorrow to spend the day rallying and won't be home till late then and will probably go straight to bed.

So excuse me for not answering you last night and requesting you to ring me on Monday , Jesus , simple request I thought , at least on the phone I can ask questions quicker to find a solution rather than spent loads more time pm'ing back and forth until with come up with something.

Wrong time of the Month, really??😒

You misunderstand what im saying.

I too made a simple request, or so i thought.

On the 12th July 2013 @ 16.51pm you were forwarded a pm fron me. I HAD NO REPLY.

Assuming your a busy person, as am i, i gave it until 16th July 2013 @ 20.11pm before forwarding another PM. Again, I HAD NO REPLY.

So a further 5days pass, i see youve been online pretty much daily posting on different threads on here, one of those threads happens to be Simb2's thread with his GTR work, progress, pics etc. So, to try and get your attention, i posted up a polite little reminder and a polite request or you to get back to me, (i even put a little apology to Simon about the thread diversion/hijack), and guess what, yet again, you ignored it and I HAD NO REPLY.

Well done to you on you giving up your time to prep your rally car, im fully aware how long this pricess tales and the time, blood sweat and tears that goes into, i have a few local mates quite heavily involved in the scene. I wanst expecting a full blown reply last night, or even a reply, but a reply of "just ring monday" narked me off, nothing to do with Jesus or the time of Month. What would have bee nice would have been a simple "apologies, ive been busy, havent forgot about you and ill get back to you next week".

Now i dont believe anything ive said is out of order or unfounded, talking into consideration the amount of time ots taken me to get a response from you. Maybe its because im not big spender with you and im not worth reaponding to for the few quid profit you might make out of me, i dont know, but what i do know is your customer service stinks in my case (imo, and not saying it is in anyone elses) and if i had been as rude to any of my customers in the same way, its safe to say i wouldnt be doing any work for them again.

I'll awiat your response (whenever youre ready), in the meantime,im off to change my tampax.

I

Do people not use phones anymore?

If it had been me and I had not had a response to an email or pm I'd of picked the phone up

Whichever way you look at it Dan, to me its just plain ignorant. These traders (Aztec, Pole Position etc) are on here on a regular basis, and have always replied to any pm's ive sent. Yes phone is a good thing, but my phone is flat out as it is, as i suspect Ians is, and its just easier IMO to send a quick pm when i arrive home from work. The advise i was looking for was a breif description of
Freeing up a seized caliper, and seeing as ian refurbed them previously, i thought if it was a pm and he replied id have the relevant details to hand when i actually tackle the job, rather than forgetting half of what he had told me on the phone.

perhaps it's a Brecon problem rob i also pmd about discs/pads no reply .i then rang and told them myself and you had not had replies from them and was told they would look into it .i was told they would ring me back about discs/pads in the end i had to ring back as i didn't get any reply .but as it happens there were various fitments for my car and couldn't be sorted out over the phone.which was not godspeeds fault.all sorted now though by my mechanic

We are on about 10 forums , getting PM's on all of them , we cannot answer them all , its physically impossible , sorry if that doesn't help you but that is the way it is , we answer as many as we can , we also get loads of emails , and phone calls , all phone calls are answered during working hours , this is the method that will get you the quickest response , and will get you an answer immediately , we answer most of our emails , emails will get answered before PM's , but again if we are inundated with emails , as we get them from all over the world , then we cannot answer everyone we get , so some will go unanswered.

It might be easier for you to send a PM wanting an answer , but sorry that is not always possible which is why I asked you to call me monday.

I don't just come on here for work , I also come here on my own time having made loads of friends over the last 13 years I have been a member on here , so just because I have been on here , like I had for a few minutes to start this thread that got ruined , doesn't automatically mean I am working , it was a quarter to mid night afterall.

A quick reply to you saying you have sticking calipers , if they have been previously done by us they will have stainless steel pistons so these will not rust so you can rule out that , it might be the boots have become damaged which is letting in moisture which will then rust up the top of the bore in the caliper , if this happens then the piston will jam , which means they need to come out to clean the rust off , or it could be as simple as rust or brake dust sticking the pads in place.

Jees lads chill out, whenever I had a problem with my brakes (once after Ian did them) one phone call and they got sorted. My mate even took my car up as I was busy, and he even phoned me whilst it was there so to talk me through. I cannot fault him.

With generic company accounts on websites you don't know who your speaking to half of the time, so when you think your getting through to the person you want, it could be anyone. I think that if something was that important people should ring the company/individual they want, and if then there is still no reply, or a fob off is received then fair enough. We all have lives outside of posting on the internet, like me I'm currently running water from one of the reservoirs on the A470 to Hirwaun. My point being just cos I'm posting up doesn't mean I'm available, others will be the same too.

Anyways back off with my tanker of water as I'm full and have to go pump it into a reservoir in Hirwaun, peace out

Unfortunately not a good rally for me as it put a rod through the block on the 3rd stage , was 1st in class and 10th overall then.
Engine has only done 300 competitive miles as well , I think I'll PM , er ring the builder in the morning and see what he says
Cheers Ian
