Default Boost cut problems on my V3 STI

I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction??? I did post the same thread a couple of weeks ago on the general section but didn't really get much advice.
Since putting my STI V3 on the road last month I'm having trouble with boost cut but only after the car is driven for around 12 miles plus, short runs it boosts fine although it seems to have a very slight flat spot around 2000 rpm. It seems to me as if it's temperature related???

Before this the car was dry stored in my workshop for around 8 years since importing it.
Could a faulty air flow meter cause these sort of symptoms or is there anything else??

I've got no fault codes showing and the car as it sits is standard apart from what I've been told is a standard looking hybrid dump valve??? Which was on the car when it came over.
Any useful advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Jay

Fit a standard dv, there is no such thing as a hybrid standard dv. Perhaps the spring is fubar'd and the boost is being released when it hits peak. After eight years there are quite a few possible causes.

I take it you have no CEL on? That may have been cancelled but the faults are still there. My suggestion would be get it to a good Subaru specialist and if your near Cardiff get down to Three Arches.

Thanks for the info on the DV, that's what's thrown me as it sounds like it has an aftermarket DV but it defo looks like a standard Subaru one to me so it seems that's not right to start with. The hybrid advice came from a SN member a few weeks ago when I firstly posted this problem

The first port of call then will be a replacement DV. As for the CEL, nothing at all and did an ECU reset as well.
If I can't get to the bottom of then I'll take it down, they seem to have a very good reputation on here.

Have you run a diagnostic by connecting the plugs under the steering column?

Try

Yes I have, a couple of weeks ago and nothing stored, that's when I tried an ECU reset then it seemed fine but not run the car far until today and the problems back.
I parked the car up for around an hour this evening, then took out to get a t'way, drove a total of around 14 miles and boosted fine with no cut at all, very strange

Thought I'd go and have a route around under the bonnet this morning to try and find out wots wrong with the car

I took the DV and intercooler off check pipes, clips etc, and all was fine, as I thought the DV was standard and in good condition. Then I had a poke around with the jubilee clip that secures the large rubber pipe to the turbo and found the clip wasn't even attached to it's self so the gasses were escaping through there and not reaching the DV. So with that reattached and tightened it looks like I've probably found the cause of my problem
