Default Does an Sti 5x100 have a space saver or full size spare wheel?

Having had a slow puncture this week I was going to pop the space saver wheel on the WRX and get the tyre repaired, however as I have had the Brembo's fitted the standard space saver wouldn't go on. I presumed that the spare in the Sti with 5x100PCD would be identical to that in the WRX so would clear but it seems not.

Does the Sti have a space saver or a full size spare?

I need to get my hands on one or possibly an old wheel that will clear or shall I just throw the thing and stick with a can of tyreweld, which I carry anyway.....?

I'm sure my STi has a space saver, never had to use it though. Can't believe they would have supplied a spare that can't be used on the car (Sti only of course).

That was my thinking, its hard to believe they manufactured a different space saver for the Sti and WRX when one that fits the Sti would fit all models.

The puncture is on the back too and it wouldn't clear so there is no chance in hell it would clear the massive fronts!!

I thought that the space savers were different on the WRX & STi models, I may be wrong though.

Pretty sure they're different.. they wouldn't supply a spare that doesn't fit. Even Subaru are not that bad

Leave the car jacked up and take the flatty and wheel to get fixed.

Does not help in the long run though.

Cheers Ian, puncture isnt really a big deal to be honest, just curious now as much as anything else. may just stick with a can of tyre weld rather than buy another wheel.

I was under the impression that they were different and that you always had to rotate the wheels round and put the space saver on the back as the brakes/caliper was smaller on the back

This puncture is on the back but it still doesnt clear the brembo, think its more an issue of the diameter of the disc.

This has got me thinking, would my standard space save fit over my Ksport, doubt it...
Would it fit over by newage Brembo rears though?

doesn't fit over 356mm versions as I have them and tried, should clear 330 though as they are smaller than brembos.

its not the calipers that foul on the 356mm but the discs

Ye thats what i found, the disc means the csliper sits higher so although its the same size as a standard caliper it gets in the way.
