Default hawkeye backbox

er bit of a strange question this but bear with me im new to subarus,, im looking for a cheap used performance backbox(noisy) purely for the tunnels on my trip to the nurburgring in oct,-looking on fleabay which model year cars will fit/inter swap my 06 wrx hawkeye saloon
I want to keep my standard box for everyday driving as I work shifts and keep weird hours and want to remain talking to my neighbours so I want to bolt on /off standard system - are bolt/ joints same across the newage range??
anyway I hope u get the gist of it ??? can anyone advise me ?? thanks chris fattaff

Try and get hold of a Nur Spec R if you want a nice sounding rear silencer, but I'd also for a deresonated centre section to release and increase the tone of the burble as well.

Slightly off topic, but would just changing the backbox/rear section genrally warrant a remap/tweak? Got a 3" system on mine cant remember the make, goves out a nice bark (i
Like it anyway)! But was thinking of a nur-spec, think it would look a lot nicer on the car, possIbly sound better too. Thoughts ty?

If you were staying with an exhaust silencer with the same internal bore size then I'd say no as it should not be a restriction to the gas flow, but I think the Nur Spec R were 2.5'' systems so if you've already got a 3'' system it might prove to be a problem.

But I'd check with a mapper just to confirm what I've said is correct.

I have a genuine subaru genome sti back box, it has had the baffle removed so is loud, also would be straight bolt on for your car, not sure what it's worth I have pics if your interested, just google image it to see style, these are quite rare now so don't want to give it away but am open to offers
