WRC Rally Sardinia.........anyone been
Thinking of tying a weeks holiday in with the WRC in Sardinia this year.
Has anyone been? Just wondering if its one of the magical rallies that are still free for spectators.
Cheers,
Pete

Can't help you there, but your post got me looking at the WRC website and I couldn't believe the number of new venues.
It's a bit like F1: so many traditional events have recently been replaced (eg: Monte Carlo, Corsica, San Remo, Sweden, and even relative newcomers like Germany, Mexico, Japan, Jordan and Turkey) by new venues such as Sardinia, Ireland, Norway and Poland.
In fact the event schedule has dropped from 16 rallies in 2005 - 2007 to 15 rallies last year and then only 12 in 2009.
Apologies if this has been discussed before, but I don't monitor goings-on at the WRC anymore, especially as there are only 2 manufacturers left in it (Citroen & Ford)!!!
WRC appears to be dying a slow ignominious death like BTCC.
