I took a punt on these, great tyre for the money C rated for wet and dry grip and 71db quiet too. They were £209 delivered. They feel better than the Pirelli zero Nero's they replaced

Anyone who buys budget tyres for a high performance car deserves to end up in a ditch.

Any body that drives a high performance car on the road on any tyre that fast that they end up in a ditch deserves to. Its the lack of talent behind the wheel not the rubber on it.

Their is a reason why a budget tyre is £50 & a top end tyre is £125+,,ive seen budget tyres crack on the sid walls when they get down to about 4 mmm of tread,so basically you've only had half the wear out of them & you have to replace them so in reality you end up paying £100 for budgets.
Ive had folk coming into my tyre shop with the likes of scooby's & M3's & putting budget tyres on them,i would never buy a second hand car with budgets on for the reason being if the y have put cheaper tyres on they will have also put cheaper oil, brakes ect & not maintained it properly.

Well cars serviced after I fitted the Altenzos, Millers CFS 10/40, NGK iridium Plugs, Green panel its 3rd one and Black genuine oil filter, Mintex comp brake pads, that kind of blows that point of cheap parts used to maintain. The Pirelli Zero Neros that came off, one of the rears had about 3.5mm tread and the bead braker went straight through the side wall, guess they spent the development money for that tyre producing the 2013 calendar.

Agree put crap budgets on a performance car and they won't grip awell as you need them to (say an emergency swerve etc) and your tyres will wear very quickly as they are made of a hard rubber compound that acts like a cheese grator on roads.

So I agree, get the best you can afford as premium tyres will out last budgets by miles and will give your car a reliable grip in all situations.

Your money, your safety, your choice.
