Default Blobeye or Hawkeye with low miles

My old man is on the look out for a newer car to replace his classic wagon and has challenged me to find one for him

Basic requirements are as follows;
- Must be under 50k miles with service history
- Ideally saloon STI but top notch WRX or wagon maybe considered
- Located within a couple of hours of Warwickshire
- Ideally a 2.0lt, will consider 2.5's but only if specialist rebuilt with receipts
- Prefer standard or mild modifications (its to be a daily runner so no stripped out track cars with rock hard suspension etc)
- Money wise, hoping to spend £7-8k but will stretch a little for the right car

What you got?

Think you might be struggling for an STI at that price, but should be able to get a WRX
My car meets all the criteria (2.5 forged) except the price part.

Yes maybe but he would stretch to £10k for the right car - just seeing what is about and what the going rates are as I'm more used to pricing classics not newages.

What is your car spec mate and what you after £ wise?

More likely to get only a hawk with under 50k miles Paul, so it may need to be a 2.5. My blob's just hit 50k, but it was off the road for 3 years. A friend recently sold his wide track blob with 45k miles for £9.5k, which I thought wasn't too bad a price....Hope your Dad finds something nice.
