Hi Ian

How about a radiator from a small car ? Micra's and Polo's have nice lightweight alloy ones Probably 3 - 4 times the cooling capacity of the std unit. Motorbike breakers also may be worth a try ?

Cool

Hi,

Dave, putting two together mate, about time i tried to cool it a bit more

Andy, yes i had thought about the micra radiator. i tried to have a look at one in the local motor spares shop, but the geek started to tell me that a water radiator isnt suitable for a chargecooler! i was thinking WTF

he really didnt have a clue, so im going to have a look at halfords as they have more sensible people working there

Andy, if like you say, the cooling capacity can be 3 - 4 times, then that may just be the better option....
im assuming the entry/exit pipes are going to be greater diameter though, but should be easy enough to get around shouldnt it.

thanks

For connecting to it, Samco do some tidy little reducing elbows in most sizes

Not sure about the motorbike ones, reckon they would be a bit small. I was thinking along the lines on an old metro radiator? Havent done any measuring yet, just thinking. Or just give a rad supplier/repairer a call, most should be able to either make one to suit, or give advise on whats available, from catalogues. Getting one made would probably save hassle, as they could make it with pipe fittings the same size, and in the rite place for easy connection to original hoses. Not sure if connecting 2 together is the right way to go. One bigger rad would be better
