WANTED: ref 3rd Attempt at trying to find either a 2000 AWD or STi in Sonic Blue!
#1
I have cash waiting for either a 4WD 2000 Turbo or an STi in sonic blue preferably with sensible mods and low milage! The car must have good service history and i would like the car to have been owned pref by a scoobie enthusiast! I live in the N.West but am willing to travel for the right car or cars! Seeing Scoobies all around me and hearing that roar when one passes me is getting me close to frustration point lol, patience is a virtue tho and i will wait for the right car! imprezza99_rs@hotmail.com If you have a car some scans and info would be great! Thanx Rob

Avoid McKays mate.
I have no faith in his knowledge of cars at all since speaking with him before I bought mine privately. I live in Edinburgh so have seen the cars first hand, but Kye McKay just doesn't fill me with confidence.
He buys cars, but most have little or no history.
Some fine examples, don't get me wrong, but that "niggling" feeling at the back of my mind said to me walk away.
Desperation for a car could make you buy a dodgy motor.

Have a trawl through Banzai or Japanese Performance Magazine for any examples in the classifieds, failing which use the websites listed in them mate.
Also, you might try dropping word with some of the reputable ones that you're on the lookout for a particular model/ colour.
Some may actually source an import for you if you leave a deposit.

Chris, those magazines you were on Banzai and Japenese performance are they readily available in most shops or do you have to order them. Are they the exact names of them as i will ask my local newsagent to try and order them. Thanx for your help again....Rob

Exact names, yep. Like a jap specific Max Power/ Fast Car etc etc only a little more "grown up" (ie no tit shots)
Readily available from larger WH Smiths, but ordering from your local rag shop shouldn't be a problem either.
Could also try Evo magazine too, plenty import ads there too.
Again, best of luck with the searching.

Just a thought..........my mate is a car dealer and drives on a trader's insurance policy which covers everything. Why don't you try this route instead of being stung for the silly money you were talking about the other night? It would probably have been cheaper for me to try this route. Worth a try (for any Subaru). Greig.
