FWIW buying a used helmet can be very dodgy. Internals can be totally knackered even if it still looks all shiny and new on the outside.

Steve - go to a bike place and buy a new one that fits you properly for about £40 - you don't need a fancy make with all sorts of flip top accessories and a clever paint job - you just want a functional helmet that fits. Thats the important bit.
