Unhappy Help - need 01 WRX rear box

Just bought 01 plate WRX with a modified exhaust system. Just found that it will fail the MOT through emissions. Managed to get most of the old exhaust out of the original owner, but need the rear box & chrome pipes to complete the job. Just been quoted shedloads of dosh for a new one.

Anyone got rear box they don't want for a reasonable price?

Oh yeah - I'm in Berks.

cheers all

Got an STi backbox that will bolt straight onto your WRX, yours for £30 and can drop off in Basingstoke on Monday, any good ?

PS, going out now, back at 11ish.

the backbox shouldn't effect the emissions test.

You're sure it'll fit an 01 bugeye std WRX exhaust ? And I assume it's in OK condition. If so yep - I'm definately interested. I'm around Bracknell & Newbury on Monday - you anywhere near either ?

cheers again.

AFAIK your car will pass the emissions without the original back box. The centre section and downpipe both have cats and will do the job. Just stick your current back box on.

I have a standard twin pipe MY01 back box that is just sitting in my garage.

I work in Bracknell so could easily meet up if you want it.
