Smile 97-00 STi intercooler please

Anyone got one spare, perhaps from a FMIC conversion?

If so, please can i buy your spare top intercooler?

Must be the STi version, must be undamaged and preferably in pristine condition.

Thanks.

Tel, do you mean >98 or 99,00?
IIRC the change came at 99 where the DV bolts directly to the i/c.
easiest to say whether you need an sti5/6 (dv bolts to i/c) or sti4 (dv is seperated from i/c)
of course, I could be talking bolleux!
make sure you get the alloy "y" piece underneath and consider getting a samco coolant silicone hose set at the same time.

Peanuts, you're correct.
V4 i/c has dv located seperate from the i/c.

or, consider this for amazing results
Ive done the conversion (sti5/6 onto 99uk) as I said, and along with new samco hoses for both turbo and coolant Ive seen a marked reduction in the temp needle.
which is nice...
remember if you go with the hoses to order the set that matches your new i/c!!
good luck, its a good mod

Andy, thanks, that's an option certainly, but i think i'd rather stick to a bolt-on upgrade, specially since PowerStation won't want to be faffing about (and i won't want to pay the labour bill!!). Just one thing would influence me - is the v5/6 intercooler significantly higher capacity than the v4? I've been told it isn't, but then i've been told a lot of bollox in my time! Cheers.

s-tc - cool, if anything changes my side, i'll also let you know.
