Default WRX Wagon low miles STD car

Hi chaps,

After much thought I've decided to go for the wagon over the saloon.

I've got about £6500 or less to spend. I also need to part-ex in my mazda (http://www.lanse.co.uk/mx5 ). So dealers only really - I'm sure a few of em read here.

The scoob:

WRX - 260 BHP
ABS
Manual
Less than 70k miles
Full history
Cat1 preferred.
Not too bothered about colour - ideally not red.
No modifications please.

Within 70 miles of High Wycombe, Bucks if poss.

I'm looking to complete the deal this Saturday.

Please call on 07899 937934

Ta

Jason

Cool

Jason,

Its quite bizzare - I have been looking at chopping in my wagon for something different (ideally Mx5 as I had one before and enjoyed the handling).

My car meets some of your criteria, though not all.....

MY97 STi v3 Wagon - Black
Unmodded - apart from an STi quick steering rack and a forge replacement BOV. (The BOV doesn't increase performance - its just better than the OE one that starting whistling.)
90,000 miles, but just had new cambelt, and been pampered with expensive oils and octane boosters.

Mail me if you want, with what you think the Mx5 is worth and if you want more details.

cheers,
dela (davedlr@totalise.co.uk)

How about a Forester rather than a Wagon.

Slightly larger but essentially the same car and cheaper to insure. less risk of theft etc.

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthrea...light=forester

I would happily part ex against your mx5.

Thanks gavnnik but I really had a scooby in mind.

Dela, Being fairly new to this scooby stuff I'm not 100% on the STI's spec's.

The STI is a UK 260bhp? With ABS and AC and the other goodies?

I noticed you were selling towbar n stuff in another thread if you still have em I'd be interested :-)

My MX is in autotrader for about 4900, I've detailed history for the 5 years that i've owned it, it's just had a major service (200 miles ago).

If you are near me I'd like to meet up and we can both have a look at eachothers motor.

Give me a call after 6 tonight: 07899 937934

J

Foresters are Subaru's it's just that only a select few know about them!

Subaru Forester = Subaru Impreza with a slight different body.

All the running gear and engine's are the same. In fact the JDM Forester (like mine) is actually superior to UK Impreza's.

They are a little more subtle, a lot less "boy racer" and cheap to insure.

Hi,

You basically have three specs. UK-220bhp Jap WRX-260bhp and Jap STi - 280 bhp. (Though be warned that some Jap WRX wagons have 240bhp - I think its the auto ones. - check out http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm)

The jap BHP figures relate to running on 100RON fuel, whereas UK fuel is 98.6RON at best (Shell Optimax)

My car is the STi, and I run it with Octane Booster to get the fuel as close to 100RON as possible.

It has ABS and Aircon - which has just been regassed to be icey cold for the summer.

Re: the towbar - I still have all that stuff - I figured I would remove it as it doesn't appeal to most scooby owners - though it does tow well.

Drop me a mail if you want to meet up.

Nice one Jason - If you want, I can put you in touch with someone who can mend the split in your leather seats?
