Hello the cambelt has broken on my mrs 1998 wrx but i am looking at the option of either a rebuild or a out/in replacement....it would have to depend on how much i can buy a engine for!!

have you had the engine checked that it not useable again some poeple get away with new cambelts

Im going to see if i can get away with it , the mrs said it had a jurk and then just turned off...at this point she tried to start it a few times but no go. I hope her trying to start it did not make things worse!!!

 

her starting it may have bent the valves, as that is what happend to mine after the cam pulleys shattered!!

 

Im have it checked over tommorow..yes on a sunday..but im prepareing for the worst!!..anyone got a engine then?? come on cash waiting!

I have one BUT the idler pully mounting bolt is damaged (to left of crank ,got caught in a front end clout)plan is to use another block (which I have)/and build it into that engine only done 55k from a 98 uk turbo (still a phase 1 1/2 i.e non intercooler mounted dump valve)
buy it as is if you like or wait till its built into the GOOD block ,mail me if need be..jase

Hello mate, no today i saw the state the pistons are in and there is actually a bit missing!!They have got so hot that they snapped a bit off!!....result ...fcuked engine!!

I need a engine for this car....someone must want some good hard earned cash for a running engine??? anyone?? please!
