WHO WANTS TO BE FAMOUS?
#1
Hi guys
Once again we have been approached by Autocar to help them with info for a forthcoming article. The general jist is that of how fantastic a performance bargain the little scooby doo is and how everyone should stop driving rubbish and buy one....Cool!
Anyway, they want to feature a few "real" cars and people in the article and have asked me to put a shortlist together. the prize obviously is immortality in print with your ride in a big title mag.
realistically they want people with attainable price ticket cars, to demonstrate the point (sorry Simon... no groupies for you) ie. £10-12k stuff, imports etc.
This kind of article has to be good for the marque and it doesn't take a genius to figure out what a load of new people wanting Impreza's is going to do for everyones residual values now is it?
drop us a line if you want to be a superstar.

Than Q lads and lasses
As soon as I know whats occuring, date and time wise i will let u know.
I am trying to get them to do the interviews at one of the track days, as they will get some great shots and you can all show off your driving prowess with lots of "hero" slides etc and also its a really easy way to get everybody in the same place.
Any more takers.... I think they would like at least one lass for a bit of pc balance...soz Michelle... i will get the bodyshop on overtime!
Will keep in touch

Yeah Michelle!...... I have asked Tricky dicky at PRP to demagnetise the front end of your WRX.... As it's obviously magically attracted to large steel poles. Don't want it to happen again,
Who would have thought it from an ally bonnet eh?... how u doing with the parts hunt anyway?

Hi Michelle,
The aged pater is on the phone as I type ordering all sorts of bits and bobs to be sorted out for the poor ickle scoob.
You could do rallying in yours, but it would take a lot of work / money to get your shell something like , even for club level fun.... far better to keep saving and buy our Grp N car, which is now spare i u fancy the ultimate trackday car?
i will keep u posted on the rebuild obviously

Michelle
good news! got the cheque and the body shop will have the impreza jig tops in for next weekend.... so this job is progressing at a rate of knots!
Tricky dicky is amazing!!! our rally car was almost literally in half, and he pulled the whole lot out..... no filler anywhere.. all lead loaded and panel beaten.. If Scoob is in any way saveable, Tricky dicky saves! :cool
have a top weekend, you big bunch of exposure hungry poseurs
Cheers

Right then you 'orrible lot
Just got off the phone from the publishing house.... here is EXACTLY what they are after.
Not that it matters much, but also it is now What Car? and not Autocar as we were previously told, no Phil it isn't AutoTRADER cos anyone can be in that if u have a spare £25.
They want...
One, bloke, one bird.... no, dressing up in drag will not do... they will check apparently.
Ideally one UK car between £12-15k with light mods (ie ITG, Brakes, Springs etc)
One Jap car between £10-12k, also with sensible mods. Sadly no Sti's...
They are hoping to get one slightly more "mature" scooby driver and one young scallywag tearaway.
It also helps if you are pretty articulate as they will want you to say something interesting, informative and profound...ie "Its dead fast and wastes cossies" will probably not impress the journo when he rings up.... Save that for when Max Power ask us to help, next month.
So there you go, DO you fit the above? if so, i need to let them know your name by monday
Have fun guys
Cheers
