Second try for a header tank...............

I just need a new one soon, my current one is cracked and is slowly leaking coolant all over the engine Smells terrible when the engine is hot and worries other drivers when they see little trails of smoke rising from my engine bay!!!

Try and get a later one off a post 97 car, mine cost me £45. They are made from aluminium and you can replace the rubber gasket if it ever does leak. You will have to make a bracket up to fit it to your car and the hoses may need to be lengthened to the header tank. Once this has been done you will not have to worry about the plastic tank cracking again (which it will).
If you need any more help mail me and I will post some pics.
Cheers

Chelle,
I replaced the 1 in "big red" with 1 off a 99 RB5 after i blew the return inlet clean off
Like Ian said a bracket was needed (which i manufactured) and the hoses had 2 b replaced, other than that no probs BTW if u get 1 from a newer model remember to use u r old pressure cap as the new 1 is rated @ 1.1 bar the one on oor model of WRX is 0.9 bar Think i`ve got some pix if u want them, if i dont i`ll do some for u, lemme know.
