New member looking for 17" silver alloys & tyres
Hi guys, I'm a new member - just bought my first jap car after years of abusing the best of German engineering....
a 98 Sportswagon 2L Turbo Impreza - really pleased with the car, but not the gold wheels and decals on the bonnet!!
Well the decals should be easy enough to sort out, but I am looking for a fairly cheap set of 17" silver alloys and decent tyres.... I like the style from a 2003 era WRX, but after reading a few posts I can already make out that not all fitments are the same...so looking for some knowledgable advice on what will fit!
Currently fitted are 17" gold Technomagnesia alloys with 215x40x17 tyres - which are all barely legal!! If anyone wants them either as a trade for silver ones or on their own pls let me know and make me an offer, I'll get the tyres taken off to help with postage. I am in the Aberdeen area!
Anyway got the car for £4500, it looks pretty straight and is very clean with 86k on the clock. Very standard and thats the way I'll keep it!
PS been a member of various forums in the past and this one looks really good.

PS. On the stickers, my car came with qaudy graphics and the best way to get mine off was to simply and carefully peel they off cold, no heat, no chemcals nothing. I did try heat and the sticker came off leaving the glue, what a pain that was.

Dunno what I'm wanting for them really, need to get another set first anyway.
Are you local?
