Hi. I just bought an STI V4 one week ago and two days ago the engine expired Sounds like the common big end failure.
What do you have for sale? It could be a short or long engine WHY? My car is my weekend pride and joy motor which I will be keeping for quite a long time so the engine needs to be new or hardly used and have proof of having been built by a reputable company. Thanks

I am sure I won't be the only one to say this but you can't go far wrong with David at API (see the link on the drivetrain forum to get to him). Excellent service, very professional and above all very resonable prices. Thought of very highly on here

Thanks Nick. Have already spoken to him. Well actually I spoke to someone else there - can't remember the name! He recommended a rebuild but I was thinking a ready built up and newer (new?) 2.0 newage STi block could be put in for about the same price as what he quoted me for a rebuild.
