After a twin scroll model if anyone knows of one for sale.
Dont want blue, so that narrows it down. 20k miles ish and no shoddy mods.
Other big point is I don not one which has had any hint of damage. I will spot it.
£15k budget. This is what they are worth given 02 bug's are going for well below £12k.
Cheers!

I'm in roughly the same position as you Mark with the same budget. I'm close to looking at and buying a standard 05 UK STi, which I could get for between £15-15500. (1 owner, under 12000 miles, with Subaru warranty till 2008) What I cannot understand with a lot of JDM's for sale is that they are imported here to the UK when they're only a few months old in Japan, which is strange, because a Japanese owner has to pay a very expensive 'shaken' for 3 years, similar to an MOT, costing around £1500, so how come the cars end up here when they're not even a year old???? Iain Litchfield says most of them are crash repaired, and I believe him, especially when a dealer says car is a 'fresh import' yet cannot supply the number 1 document, the Japanese auction sheet. Crooks, most of them, unfortunately.

Iain Litchfield and Miguel at Newera Imports can get a top quality 2003 JDM STi with low miles and full history, however, at a cost of between £16500 and £17000 on the road. Iain includes a UK remap in his price, Miguel doesn't, although he gives a 12 month comprehensive warranty. Not sure on the length of Iain's warranty.

I had a quick run round the block in the white one. Nice car I thought and shifts!! Not a bad price for low mileage and 330 plus twin scroll horse power.
Do you think £15K can currently get you the quality of JDM motor you are after?

i would look very carefully at the bodwork on the car if I were you. The seller knows it has some "issues" yet continues to try and sell the car and not tell people the problems with it. I will say no more.
I was offered it for the price im after. Not a chance.
