Unhappy

After 5 weeks of being off the road, due to a blown downpipe, I finally had the pleasure of driving once again. As (my) luck would have it, within 30 minutes of driving I noticed hugh amounts of steam pouring out the bonnet vents, nice !!!
Somehow the return spout on the expansion tank had decided to fall apart.
So once again I'm left walking.
Anyway, enough of the details, basically does anyone know where I can track down a second hand expansion tank ? It looks like this....

If anyone can help, you'd be making my day.

Cool

Perry,

Try grade A m8 http://www.gradea-subaru.co.uk/ or 1 of the other breakers.
If u r a bit handy u can replace the old plastic job with one of the metal tanks from a L8r model, just need 2 make up a bracket and change some hoses I`m doin a feature on this 1 for my site jnow as it`s something i had 2 replace a wee whilst ago. It should be up soon on http://www.scoobymods.co.uk/

Hope this helps

Cool

Perry,

Cheers 4 the comments m8.
The tank i used was from a 97RB5 if i can remember corectly, or at least that was the YM anyway
The mesh on the scoob stops crap gettin into and bending the fins of the topmount intercooler & it works.
Keep an eye on the site coz there`s some more updates due soon

L8r
