Im after a set of Power Folding Mirrors for a MY05 (Basically a Blobeye).

I will also need the switch unit from the drivers door (probably includes the window controls, and mirror adjustment... and most importantly the folding button which mine doesnt have)

you can use any power folding mirrors unit even off a classic jdm impreza all the internals will just swap over and fit perfect in to your wing mirror shell i know cos i have just done this mod to my impreza p1 and i had my p1,type r,uk sti hawkeye, and uk blob wing mirror to strip and they all swapped over perfictly only difference is newer ones have heated wing mirror class hope this helps (plus you wont have to get new wing mirrors resprayed)

p1kid, I have an 02 bugeye, with heated mirrors. You saying the guts from any power folding mirror will swap over into the shell of the bugeye manual mirrors??

 

yes from all the four i stripped all the internals parts are exactly the same and all the mounting holes are the same even on the base as i put the hawkeye one on my p1 to see what it looked like but the hawkeye and blob eye wing mirror i used was uk so not 100% on jdm bugeye but was the same on the jdm type r classic ones, if you use the classic guts you woudl have to swap the 2 green wires from your wing mirrors guts for the heated glass they are separate from the other wires in the wing mirror any way so its easy, you will see what i mean if you swap them over its only takes 5min to swap the guts just be carefully not to brake the glass like i did lol hope this help cheers

 

i have bugeye jdm folding mirrors on my blobeye.
slightly different design but look fine.

make sure you get the switch though.

 

Tommy is yours widetrack? If not how did you get on with the wiring

 

the wiring is the same on all newages. only difference is the early cars have the switch in the centre console and late cars in the doors.

all you need to do is run 2 wires from each switch to each mirror.

 

Iv got a pair but from a bug eye if that's any use to you
