Cheers Stewart, looks very clean but just a bit high on the mileage for me personally. I'm sure you wont have any trouble shifting it.

Is there any service history or paperwork with the car?
Also, any MOT and tax?
How tidy is it on the inside and has it been smoked in?
If this is this the one on Ebay, I take it its had some paint at some time?

A JDM STI - no.
Having enquired about nearly every one for sale in my price bracket thats already over here (and in Ireland!!) and each one having various issues (IMO) I did some research in fetching one over myself.
I found (with a little help from Tony Burns) an English speaking agent in Japan who was very helpful. I came to the conclusion that to get one thats in good condition, not crashed repaired with reasonable mileage you're looking at quite a bit more money. The full on the road price pushed it miles beyond my budget. Roughly speaking, for one with say a 30/40k mileage, auction grade 4/4.5 you're looking around £9-10k FOB price, then you've got the cost to get it here and on the road, so say another £2500 - £3000...! The agent said he could get me cheaper but would DEF been crashed and repaired with high mileage. Which makes sense as to why all the ones in my price range had new panels, questionable history etc
I've opted for a Mica Black STi Type UK which is putting out roughly 340BHP, put a deposit on it last week, hopefully sorting it out this weekend.
Just out of interest, why do you ask?

No probs, but I think within the £8-9500 range, you'll struggle to find a really genuine, straight car with no hidden history.
I'm not picking my new one up until a week on Friday (at the latest), so will let you know how I get on.
One thing I will say though, is I've been thinking that I might not keep the blob for that long, as I think I might want to get another Type R, they look sooooo much nicer!
All the best
Jeff
