hi all,
im after a 97 onwards cdb block with heads if poss to build a forged one, so dont need internals, prefer a none runner for cheapness, so if you want to get rid of your lump that gave up, give us a text on 07970748201 with the price,
cheers phil.

I am open to correction here, but I dont think any closed deck blocks were 8 bolt gearbox fixing, only 4 bolt.

There were never any closed deck blocks of that age.

You need circa 97/98 onwards, which were all "open deck" or semi open deck or whatever you want to call them.

All closed deck blocks were centre thrust. If you want to fit a later crank into a CDB, the block will require some machining work.

i never knew that, the block i have in at the min is a 95 cdb and was machined to take the end thrust, but that block is dead now, thanks for the heads up,
so anyone got any 97 onwards block that needs a rebuild.

What happened the block that its no longer usable ?

Why not just buy a crank to suit the CDB ?
