An Andy Forest genuine TD05 20G? I had it fully reconditioned by CR
Turbos last week & did 4 runs up Harewood Hill with it yesterday.

Would a '42' see 400+bhp without fuel additions?

I would presume yes. I expect to see 460ish out of my 46 when its ready for final mapping and thats without any fuel additions, so I would expect a 42 to make around 420. An 05 sti should be "man enough" to cope...... but maybe asking the question to Kev at the clinic about the 42 would be a wiser thing.

If the OP wants 400+ I think a 42 might be borderline. I think Kev quotes 90% efficiency which would give 380-ish. Obviously that's dependant on supporting mods, and a fmic might give 400.
I have a 46 on 20% meth with a h/flow tmic & syvecs running @ 440 on a MY05 dyno'd at Zen. With a fmic that might rise to 460+.
As you say speak to 'the man' for the best advice.
