I have a Close ratio box from a Type R v4 with DCCD, You can remove the DCCD unit and run your viscous unit just like a non DCCD Type RA

 

i have a p1 box and diff for £500

 

You'll need a good strong box to deal with 380lb/ft.

I can help with rebuilding your RB5 box as a low-cost short-term solution, but in the long term you'll be better off saving up for 6-speed or PPG to be honest with you at that level of power.

I've got a version 6 type r dccd box with matching 4.444 rear diff £500

 

got a full 6 speed sti 8 set up inc rear brembos 2k

 

Is that the R180 rear diff and if so do you have the rear hubs & shafts to go with it?

 

We have a well priced 6 speed set up that you ideally need at that kind if torq figures on me if needed

i've sourced some pistons and rods for my type r and should be building it over the christmas holiday, taking ages to get everything clean mind!

it's my old mans RB5, he's umming and ahhing over what to do gearbox wise..... old fart can never make his mind up! dont think he wants to be doing much in this cold weather so looks like i'll be fitting it.... oh the joy of repairing other peoples cars!
