I was sat in the Tomcat as a passenger when it did

Was a race between the Porsche GT, Lotus Elise on TB's and NitroMethane, Scooby P1 (Approx 350BHP the bloke reckons) and the Tomcat Racer

Tomcat won

Nice surprise to see 4 scoobies at the MR2 track day today.

Good to see a P1 on the track, but didn't see it overtake anything and it was too quiet.

Hello Scooby Doos..

It was me at the wheel yesterday of the Tomcat..

So P1 what happend?

Also that 911 with 400bhp wasnt that quick, had a little bit of grunt though!!

I was running std boost......7psi 228bhp and 261ftlb torque as tested by PTS.

Now you lot...be warned Rovers arent so grandad and cocoa as you think.

My bus.partners bruv has a STI,,he is next on my list!!!Judging by the P1`s record yesterday, this one should be able to be passed on 3 psi!!!

BTW that elise wasnt running ya std unleaded fuel boys,,hence the 6ft flames out the rear..he kept burning my bumper.!! Mind you got passed him in the end...And Elises are supposed to handle too????I think not..

Ta ta.

I dont think there was enough cars for a good challenge, although I wasn't brave enough to take my MR2 on the track. Cant wait for the warmer weather to bring a few more people out.
I wonder who will beat tomcat? someone has to

Some quick cars there especially the Rover, Elise and Porsche, and the P1, which I was driving. It is a quick car, just that I am a crap driver . Might have to get a stripped out Rover to play instead. See you next time TOMCAT

I had probably the only standard n/a MR2, so it wouldn't have been noticed (grey k plate) parked outside the pit area.
I actually didn't notice the rover, dont know how. But I will keep a look out for it next time

How did you miss it???? It was bright yellow and very very loud.

It was stipped out but it did have a full roll cage so probably no lighter than a std car.

BTW its an Ex Tomcat Race car. Handling is awesome. Especially as its only FWD

Hi ya P1 Man

Well dont worry, the Porsche lost too!

It was good to see some `well known fast cars` get put in there place.yes a Rover can be fun if you know how to drive!

Tell you what, next time ya at Donny, let me know,I will take you out in ya scooby doo and show you what it should do!

It is a nice car though,I do like them, and I dont know how those muppetts on Top Gear voted for the RS Focus...yuk....over the Imprezza!! I certainly wouldnt have...If I had the choice,I would have certainly took the Imprezza. But Then They did say that the MG ZR was `UGLY` so each to there own!I could get a ZS180 to show the Focus what its all about...Hey someone know anyone with an **** FOCUS?

Look forward to our next meet..

Mine was in the car park (blue, silver wheels). Was sooooo tempted to go out, but decided one track day a week is enough (was down at Bedford the week before) with my level of experience (not a lot yet). Definitely want to get back onto Donington Park again though. Hope to be there on the 29th.

Tony, so I guess you were one of the scoobs at the back of the car park, you should have been closer
I have a link to an online pic with the 3 scoobs in the background, let me know if you want it emailed to you.

Can you email me the link please? Always interested in seeing pics of my car.
I did get as far as being passengered round in Simon's P1, which was impressive, and definitely put my (nearly standard) Scooby in the shade.
I think the thing that put me off on Saturday was the number of red flags as various cars 'did a bit of rallycross'. Since I've only dont three trackdays in tweo years, I thought I'd better get a bit more experience before venturing out on a damp/wet track.
