Lake District scoobies!
#1
Hi all,
Spotted whilst up in the lakes last week!
Furness Reflexology........sign written on the back of a black sccobie with private plates M*** **K
Green wagon parked in the centre of Grasmere with all sorts of sign writing
Yucky red scoobie drove up and down the section of lake at Bowness with a young couple in it on wednesday.
Nice black sccobie in Grasmere which turned out to be a GLX!

I was there from Fri to Mon (nr Langwathby) and driving around the lakes and i didn't see anyone at all! You were all obviously hiding behind roadsigns and bushes as my DBM classic lumbered around 4-up plus kit.

Don't expect to thrash round the country lanes in your scoobie!
You'll spend more time stopping to let others by or reversing to a passing place!
Wrynose/Hardnott pass is a must for the sheer experience and the view but hard on the brakes!
Didn't see any speed camera's but quite a few plods about, so just beware!
Ace place to visit, especially the White Heart Inn at Bouth great food.

Like that Steven? There are no fixed position cameras in the Lakes...yet! I wouldn't say that Wrynose and Hardknott are good driving roads, too many tourists! Try a route something like this. From Keswick head west over Whinlatter Pass (Forests either side used by M-Sport for testing Focus WRC's). When you get to a village called Lorton turn South-ish and head to Buttermere. Then head over Newlands Pass or carry on to Honister Pass. Both start a little tight and rough but open out to nice driving roads complete with hairpins etc.
