Saw an MY01 Silver WRX going over the Cantilever bridge in Warrington on tuesday evening around 8.30pm.Had a private reg 8 ***
and think it was an import cos it didn't have
the rear spoiler!
Any other guys on here from Warrington?

(My car is an MY01 WRX in WR Blue running currently on belgian transit plates!)

P.S: This is my first post at long last!

 

I seen a WR Blue MY01, near the cantilever bridge about a month ago(how common )

Not seen a silver one though.

Where do I start - Warrington is a veritable mine of Scoobs ...

I've seen the MY01 Silver WRX as well - did a double take at first - as I wasn't sure if it was a Scoob - not used to recognising the shape yet - without a spoiler on

Couple of days ago crossed a sonic blue / gold wheels (I think) at the Lumb Brook T'lights (not seen that one before - 555 boy?)

Also went down to RC developments on Sat. - looks like this might me a good place to get Services / Mods. done - as only on theyre on the Palatine Industrial (behind the Causway Pub. - next to Racecraft) - and with all the local Dealerships going pop! - we need a decent workshop in the area. Had a good chat to them, and they seem to be small but perfectly formed (If you've been to RC you'll know what I mean ) They also organise track days down at Oulton Park about once a month as well. - After that plug I must be in for a discount or something

If so,I head in the opposite direction going into Warrington.If it's you,will give you a flash next time?

As far as RC Developments goes - I know Clive that works there.He used to be at DP Motorsport at Bank Quay and he certainly does know his stuff......... (They also have some pretty wicked Evos on the ramps in there - Demos I think!)

I'm based in Knutsford, pretty near to Warrington, I'll keep an eye out for you guys.

Was interested in hearing about RC Developments, been watching their web-site, and reports about them, for some time. Might have to take a visit down there. I got the impression they were concentrating on Evo's though ... ?

They are doing lots of work on Evos by the looks of it but I'm sure they can do stuff on the Scoobys too. (DP Motorsport are another fan of Jap cars.They seem to be concentrating on em now and can be contacted on 01925 445174 - Dave Perry is the top man!)
I got stuck on the A50 on friday last week going to Monks Heath Motors at Macclesfield. Bloody traffic was a nightmare cos of the flower show.Was stuck in it for over a hour. Arrived late at Monks Heath but still managed to buy my white indicators / reflectors even if they were an extortionate price! Let us know what colour etc your car is Paul and I'll keep my eyes peeled!

Yeah, the flower show caused chaos around Knutsford that week : not to mention the idiot who was so busy looking at his new flowers that he pulled out right in front of me, and I had to do an emergency swerve into oncoming traffic....!

Mines a silver MY94 STI V1 5 door, odd license plate (makes sense when you see it ! ). Assuming my new brakes have been fitted this afternoon, I'll either be braking 1/2 mile early, to bed them in, or last minute, to try them out ! BTW, what's Monks Heath attitude to imports ?

Monks Heath motors attitude to imports is the same as any other garage basically. However,my car is booked in for its 1000 mile service so I'll be able to give you more info after that......
I know a while ago I went up there when I was a prospective customer and thought the guys there talked down to me.One of them patronised me on the phone when I asked for a test drive saying things like "...We don't just give test drives to anybody...." and the usual **** like that.With all due respect these guys seem to think that they are a class above (At the end of the day I've bought a WRX and saved myself money without having to use Monks Heath!!!!!)
I'd be interested to hear comments if any of the salesmen from Monks Heath read these posts?????

John,As far as the red STi goes - Is it something like an M reg with gold wheels? If so,I think it lives around the Stockton Heath area.Seen it a few times there recently!

Saw a red Scoob / gold wheels, with a Subaru sun strip heading towards town just near the 'toast rack bridge' this morning - so either it doesn't come from Stockton Heath, or this is yet another one

Waved at a Black (or possibly dark blue) Scoob on Chester Road (Grapenhall) last night - forgot I was in the Westie (oops!)
