Hi Jamie
was indeed I - inlaws live over that way - it's in the bodyshop today having the front splitter repaired/ painted after I hit an exhaust silencer that had fallen of a car on the A3. I wasn't a happy bunny....
Still - I won't have any stone chips on it after.....so that's cool..

terry - don't wish to worry you, but i'm fairly sure that the last time i saw this p1, it was looking pretty sorry for itself after being torched in Yate. Would have been Feb 2003. I was having work done on mine at Tilleys Subaru in Bristol, and was shown around the car by the service manager as an example of what type of damage can be done & how they could repair it. I remember the car because of the plate. cica £8k worth of refurb, mainly engine, and electrics after petrol had been poured under the archs and then set on fire. You may want to give Tilleys a ring to confirm - speak to Phil. Not sure what you can do about it though, assuming that you weren't aware.

Well when I 1st saw this post yesterday, I was thinking it was the one that was spotted on the back of a transporter in Yate last year, quite badly damaged. But didn't say anything coz there could be a few plates similar. Worth checking it out though.

Thanks for the information on this - I will contact Tileys to find out the truth - I would be VERY surprised if this is the same car as it is so immaculate. Mmmmm - got me thinking though...

I spoke to the service manager at Tileys today (Phil) and he has put my mind at rest - yes this is the same car and no I wasn't aware of it - but he did say that the car was repaired with no expense spared and no major mechanical parts were affected. He had his best technician working on it at the time - and said that it was as good as new when it left their premises.
I'm kinda glad I didn't know this when I bought it as it may have put me off - but thinking about it I have been very lucky to get this car as it has so many extras on it - it really is one of a kind.
Thanks for your comments though peeps![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
