scoobs at lemans

certainly did - had a great weekend.
Saw a loads of scoobs parked and a fair few on the roads. Not too many waves from UK scoobs though - I assume cos the car's on the other side of the road and the driver get's less chance to recognise one coming the other way.
I was in a black 52 with Prodrive WR Sport lights
Was a great car show in the car parks - practically every car you could want to see was there.
Did you get a ticket from Operation Le Mans??

Well in that case we were camped next door. Silver MY03 WRX. (With the Sat Dish)
Have to say a few of our group got all excited when they saw the ****-racing gazebo. Had to explain that having quite coincidentally seen your web-site before leaving the "*****" probably wernt going to be what they were hoping for

Scoobs at Le Mans
I was parked up at Chapelle next to dunlop bridge ( green my99). Loads of interest from the French, i guess they don't see many over there. Was flagged down on one of the perimiter roads by the usual crowd wanting to see a drag strip type start. Rude not to oblige, however paid the price with a cabin stinking of burnt clutch! Car sounded fantastic in the tunnels under the track!!
2 Other scoobs parked near-by both classics in blue.
Best of all no sign of Gendarmes on out or return journey.

Yep paid the same price I'm afraid - 4wd, sticky tyres and 5 up in the car meant that traction was never really gonna break! Reckon I knocked a few thousand miles off with that little display

Friends could'nt resist a great **** take after the drag strip burn out (and stink of clutch). Got the car back to the Dunlop bridge site let it cool down went for a walk. Upon return asked by no1 friend if that was an oil leak under the car. Oh ****. Bricked it until return to England to be told the buggers used cooking oil for the dastardly deed!!

I was there too (not in my motor, fookin' shame that!) but in a black WRX classic. Did wave to most.
Scooby66 was also there in his new age blue WRX. Great driving round the circuit (the bits you could), not so good if you got caught with a radar detector (not me - but I know a man that did), confiscated and a 750 Euro fine !!

I went in bug eye STI. Camped on Tertre Rouge car park or something. Noticed a few others on there. Best part of the trip was the evening sat around the roundabout at Arnage. Some guy in an RS focus did some exellent burnouts as did a chap on a motorbike with side car !!! Got a picture of a black classic with gold wheels passing through the Arnarge crowd. Not sure if it is anyones from here. If so, I will Email it to them.

Doing 120mph back on N138 just before Caen, see a similar WRX on hard should and beep my horn as I go past at 120mph only to see you pulled over by the local Gendarmie. Sorry if it was anyone on here, and I fealt it was best to keep me toe planted.
Did you get fined or anything and what was the Coppers response to my aparent cheek?

Noticed the two red ones on the camp site. Followed the UK300 back for a while before splitting off. I was in convoy so couldn't do some of the manouvres he was pulling to get round traffic !

I was there with the 5NOT wagon again. Had a blast on the way down, pesky TVR's didn't like having to get out of my way. Bit too drunk on Friday night, couple of bottles of champagne then a go on that bungy ball thing and the falling backwards into a net! Never again!! Excellent seats in the Audi stand for the start and finish. Got escorted off the track at the end of the race by a security guard on a motorbike ending my attempted Go-ped lap record. Was fun watching security in action on Sunday night as 3 people attempted to steal the Rolex clock from the podium. Nice easy drive home on Monday.

Drive back was excellent fun as ever (monday). Once we'd cleared the traffic around Alencon. Anyone know a "Nigel B" with a black 911 and personal plate - ask him to check his mirrors before ambling out for an overtake. *Just* cos you drive a 911 doesnt mean some bloke in an Impreza hasnt come up behind and spotted the gap several seconds before you and is now alongside......
