I made a half ar*ed attempt of trying to aknowledge you as I left but I was still in shock at the petrol bill.

That'll be the PPP (and i have morettes on the front, but prolly obscured by the car in front of me).

Not only was the garage expensive, but is was packed - and just like me to get behind the slowest customer at filling up

...even more so when the guy who was supposed to be flying over from Ireland to meet me at a business meeting didn't turn up (he got the weeks mixed up).

Thus a quick pie and a pint down the road and back off home (or rather office) early.
