Unhappy P1 on the m40 hard shoulder

I was coming down the M40 a couple of hours ago and I saw a P1 broken down on the hard shoulder at junction 5 northbound It had an AA van with it and the bonnet open

Hope it was nothing serious.

If only they put as many resources into catching burglars, rapists and murderers etc. But tax dodgers, good heavens, quick we better call the army in too just incase the police f*ck up and someone with a week out of date tax disk might get away god forbid.

I think you will find that's exactly what the ANPR cars do. At least they do in Essex.

Scroll down to 5.0 Notable recent successes

http://www.essex.police.uk/cms/globa...ngs/171_06.pdf

From April 2006 - March 2007 they recovered 63 stolen vehicles worth over £250K by using ANPR & made 255 arrests.

A bonus side effect to catching the tax dodgers the technology was designed for, Call me sceptical lol.

My sister got burgled and her husband got a kick in when he discovered them. It took the police three days to come round. I flagged an officer off because he cut me up and they were knocking on my door about an hour and a half later!!

But hey if they are catching tax doders and easy prey it makes the crime figures look good i suppose.
