Do Impreza owners still wave?
#1
OK, a bit of fun really but I've noticed after having a Scoob for three years now that there is a mix of people who acknowledge each other as drivers of the 'best car on the road'.
I'd like to think that we have a bit of an exclusive club going and we should acknowledge that fact with a wave.
You will always get the 'ol git' who drives his Impreza like it's a Metro who looks at you with disgust if you wave or flash your lights at him, or immediately starts looking for the fuzz with a radar camera, never mind they'll work it out eventually. ;-)
So, when you see another Impreza, wave at him, you know it makes sense. (This rule doesn't apply to drivers around the Manchester area who might see white ones with orange stripes down the side, these drivers don't have a sense of humour and should be avoided at all cost!)

I wave all the time (well nearly, some go past tooooo fast )
ive had only one 'confirmed' wave back (owner for 2 months now)
i think 'the wave' is a ScoobyNet thing and not everyone in one the net.
By the way, hi ya (waving franticly)

I usually 'wave' but, usually, get no response.
I have to disagree on the 'best car on the road' thing. I take exception to that superior attitude because its all subjective. Of course you are entitled to your opinion, so I'm offering mine.
It seems a friendly thing to wave to drivers of the same type of car, if only because there is a cameraderie amongst users of this website for one, borne of enthusiasm of ownership, but there's plenty of 'better' cars on the road, depending on your definition of course!

I try my best to wave but its damn difficult to wave when you're trying to overtake those damn mondeos.
Truthfully, I normally just flash my headlights at them but I haven't got any responses yet.

Yep, Scooby owners definitely still wave - had three waves on the way to work yesterday alone!!
Last week I think I surprised a MY01 owner by waving at him - full credit though, he waved back!

I try and wave to any Scooby Impreza I see, Flash headlights too. I've had 1 flash back and 1 wave
Though I have had a few granpa's stare back @ me

It's open to debate, but... ...legend has it, they're 10 metres long, they rip open imprezas and steal their guts for their own pleasure, they've evolved over a hundred years, and they're trying to outdo our beloved imprezas. I think they breathe fire too...
