Bring back the waves!
What happened to the days (about 5 years ago) when you waved or flashed a fellow scooby owner, you got one back?
I flashed a guy in lincoln the other day, you know what I got back? The V's!!! Charming!!!
I know there's some scooby owners who aren't on these forums and never will be, but surely if enough people beep, wave or flash, they'll get the idea in the end rather than telling us all to eff off!
So, if you live in the Lincs, Lincoln area.... big beeps, flashes or waves, hell, even a blip of the throttle would be nice!
Bing.

how rude of him! round here in Nott's i get a lot of toots, waves & flashes (wished they were ladies;-) but none of them seem to be on this site! D'oH!
i like seeing other Subaru owners on the road - usually i think that person has good taste but if they swear back then i guess they don't

It's makes me really sad when i don't get an acknowledgement back from a fellow scooby driver. But it does makes me chuckle to myself when i do get one. Stoke area are pretty good for them generally.
Keep it up everyone!

Yep, i definitely agree with the above. The older gent this morning on the A127 in his silver classic was a grumpy bugger! I waved as i overtook him and gave him a flash of my hazard lights once i was in front of him and still no response!

I always wave and/or flash if I see another scoob(even Sports, Forresters and Legacys).
The other day I got in trouble with the missus cos we were going through town when I saw another scoob....flashed and waved and got flash and wave back....BUT.....an old dear waiting to come out of Waitrose on my left thought I was flashing her and came out. I was still waving at the scoob and only just slammed on the anchors in time!!!! LOL!
PHEW!!!!

Alive and kicking where I am too in Warwickshire. When my grandad bought his Subaru in 1981 he was getting flashes then.
I think it's great we all still wave and flash each other after all this time.

I hate chav's waving at me, that's on reason why I sold my STi...... some ned in a complete shed waving all excitedly and "blipping" his accelerator when he sees another brand of car the same as his is, well.... let's just say "rather sad".
I've still got a Subaru, albeit not of the "ned wave magnet" variety. You only have to look at the slow introduction of text speak into SNet to understand why you wouldn't want to be associated with the "wavers".

Two waves today, one from a more mature driver driving out of what looked like a farm field (having fun were we?), another from a fellow STi driver at a roundabout. Neither seemed like chavs to me.

I went to wave at a White blobeye coming round a corner in Chailey then realized he was half on my side of the road so my wave turned into a waved fist because I had to swerve to save me my gf my 8 month old son and sisters life.... idiots like that I can quite happily not wave to!

I wave but more often than not get totally ignored, especially by classic owners for some reason! my fellow new age lot seem to be the most friendly round my area (Holbeach and surrounding area's including P'Boro) even sport owners get a wave and seem more than happy to throw one back

ok lads and girls i own up im a shed driver lol (barra boys car )lol or whatever u want to call it but can i just state most neds (barra boys lol) cant afford the ins on a scooby, a wave is a wave from a shed car or a 15 k car its the badge on the front that counts most on here are starting to forget this not if its a 1.6 or 20 or 2.5 saloon or wagon or jeep, its all about subaru ownership

Up in the North of Scotland its alive and well. Never had a scoob fail to wave or flash back.
I love the ones that go a little extra, with their whole arm out waving like a nutter.
I can say I also get a lot of thumbs up from evo owners, mutual respect to each other I would say.
