Wales Rally GB
This has been discussed intermittently over the past months, but it's getting to the time where things need to be organised (yeah, right )
So, can this become the official WYIOC WRGB thread, starting with a show of hands for those who would like to attend. Once we get some figures we'll be able to work out travel, accomodation and dates, but it's likely to be a trvel down late Friday / early Saturday, find camp site (Behave Chris and Apple ) pitch up, go to watch some stages, eat, drink, sleep, wake, pack away, watch some more stages, home Sunday
So, who's up for it?
1) Sticky
2) Daz (nominated in his absence )

Good news (If you're a fan) that a certain Mr McRae will be driving a Skoba WRC car at this event.
The bad news is that, given track records and all, the only chance you're gonna get to see him is likely to be on SS1, just before he hits a tree / rolls / blows up / falls out with his co-driver

Between you and me, Al...
Not sure there are any ticket costs, as I'm not sure that you need a ticket to pop into the forests in question. Could be wrong, though.
It would be nice to make a long weekend of this and take the bike down for a bit of climbing / downhilling before and after the 'main event' but the missus has just informed me that she's showing "Beelzebub" on Saturday & Sunday, so it's looking unlikely that I'm ever going to get there at all.

IIRC 100 quid to use public roads and have access to open countryside If you have a valid tax disc, insurance and MOT you should be free to exercise your right to use the roads and of course, the right to ramble has been around since 1884 Bring back the old British Rally that was actually in most of Britain and the only expense was if you chose to park at an organised event like Harewood. Apart from that, free

Right, 'official' ticket prices for days or particular stages can be found here though I still maintain that there's no way on Earth they can police all those miles of stages out in the middle of nowhere, so I reckon the maximum cost would be £6 for an OS Landranger of the area (Or bugger all if my Memory Map software turns up in time ) Add the cost of a campsite for an evening or two and about £80 for beer () and a share of whatever fuel gets burnt.

I must admit it does irk to pay to travel the Queens highway that I've already stumped up for in gawd knows how many taxes..
The thought of camping, hiking aimlessly to the sound of various waste gates in the distance, drinking and BBQ'ing with some mates over a long weekend does sound perfect
'Suck it see' as Daz says to Neeve.. and 'life is like a box of chocolates' as Sticky says
OK.. Who's going then? Only Daz & possibly Sticky?
Who has a tent? Gas stove?
We need some organisation and commitment..

Committment as in;
Who's going -
1. Me (confirmed)
2. Dazza (confirmed)
3. Sticky (confirmed)
4. Simon (possible)
Possible Second vehicle required for the poeple below....
5. ?
We can always take two MPV/Vans if the number gets above the specified 4+ gear figure..

Ahem, it's not a van. Mine's a van.
...and yer forgetting Mr. White Scooby, who mentioned above that he may be up for it.
So, having told Daz that I'm none too bothered It now appears that there will be a WYIOC pi$$, er.. trip to WRGB after all. Great. Let me just call the flower shop (babysitter buttering-up ) and I'll make some firm arrangements.
Dazza's 'thingy' should hold 4+gear in comfort, failing that my Connect will take 4+gear+mountain bike(s?) in relative 'bloke' style discomfort
