Well I spose I best apologise now for my non attendance

Yes I realise I didn't attend last month and that by not attending this month as well certain club members will be gutted but it is alas unavoidable.
I am of course armed with a suitably believable excuse, my mum is getting married on that day Although generally a very thoughtful person, she did in fact check with my sister in law that she would be back from holiday by this Thursday, she unfortunately made no effort whatsoever to check if her wedding would affect my life in anyway

Anyway in order to keep in with her and a chance of getting at least some small percentage of the inheritance , I have had to make the difficult and painful decision to miss this months meet, I just hope that you can find it in your hearts to forgive me

Any one going in convoy from The Holmfield Arms to The Fox Glove?

If so what time are you leaving?

Andy, I was referring to the double-entendre potential, but I needn't have worried..

Daz & all. Holmfield run as per usual. Aim to leave at 19:10.

We'll probably meet up with the Brickworks convoy at the Cedar Court as this seems to be a regular stop off for them... Is that OK Dave?

Hmmm, evidently HTML has yet to catch up with your "cycling do's and don'ts" list.

No can do tonight guys - sorry.

Helen & me have got some "must do" work that has to be done before her Dad leaves for Australia at the weekend. We won't have another chance after tonight since we're sitting in a damp field getting drunk for three days starting tomorrow!!

BTW - Thrapper is no more. Sold back to JCT. They gave me a slightly better price than I was expecting in the end to compensate me for all the trouble. Was sad to see it in the showroom yesterday when I went to hand over the keys/log book but I walked away feeling relieved - a big bag of hassle/annoyance has gone away.

So I'm now waiting with baited breath for the return of the Scoob in early Sept (it's now built/finished and being mapped this week or next).

I've just got my trusty Honda motorbike until then

Sorry to hear that Ian - about the camping, the car AND the non-attendance, that is....

What puzzles me is why you'd want to sit in a wet field getting drunk, when there's a nice warm pub to do exactly the same in.....

Have a good un mate!

Cheers, Chris.
