You don't say which MY car but I am sure some if not all require a small resistor fitting in line to the ECU as currently your car is telling you the CAT isn't CAT'ing.

Question

Just a few random ramblings:
Have heard that decatting needs a 'cel fix' iirc something which fools the ecu into thinking the cat is still there(?), maybe sonic's mechanic put this in & yours didn't?
Had your car been remapped at any point? Thinking that a standard map will be more tolerant to altering the airflow but a car specifically mapped for whatever exhaust you used to have will be less happy (We have an example of this where Dazza's car was fine with a Firestorm BB whereas my tsl remapped engine didn't like it - so it was removed after 20 minutes!). There's a thread in general about decat with no remap which might be helpful.
